Vikram Seth is an Indian novelist, poet, and travel writer, best known for his epic novel “A Suitable Boy”. Located in the state. He has taught at St. Michael’s School in Patna, St. Xavier’s School in Patna, and later at Deer Dun School. He then moved to England and completed his A-levels from Tonbridge School.

After graduating from high school, he studied philosophy, politics, and economics at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and graduated with a BA degree in 1979. He received his Ph.D. degree.

He was in China from Stanford University, California, in the United States for his field studies from 8 to 12. He traveled extensively across China for a doctoral dissertation that he never wrote.

Another book of poetry titled ‘All You Who Sleep Tony’ was published, and in 12 he came up with another compilation of three Chinese poets. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book, ‘Golden Gate’, an Indian literary honor. In 2007, he was awarded ‘Padma Shri’, the fourth highest in India.
